1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Machine City platform at machinecity.in (the “Platform”), operated by Anirudh Engineering Solutions, a proprietary firm (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing or using the Platform in any way — including browsing listings, submitting an enquiry form, or submitting a machine for sale — you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. About the Service

Machine City is an online marketplace and listing platform that displays used and refurbished industrial machinery and connects prospective buyers and sellers. The Platform is an introduction and information service: it allows sellers to list machines and buyers to discover and enquire about them.

Machine City has been in operation since 2009 and has facilitated the trade of over 5,000 machines. We serve customers across Punjab, Haryana, and pan-India, with imports from Canada, the USA, and Singapore.

3. What Machine City Does NOT Do

This is important. Machine City is an introduction platform only. Please read the following carefully before making any purchasing decision.

• No payments or financial transactions: Machine City does not handle, process, hold, or facilitate any payments. No money passes through the Platform.
• No delivery or logistics:Machine City does not provide delivery, transportation, loading, or any logistics services. Arranging and paying for transport is the buyer’s sole responsibility.
• No installation or commissioning: Machine City does not provide installation, on-site commissioning, or technical setup services.
• No certified inspections or condition certification: Machine City does not inspect machines on behalf of buyers, issue condition reports, or provide any form of certification. Buyers are strongly advised to inspect machines in person (or appoint their own engineer) before committing to a purchase.
• No financing: Machine City does not offer or arrange financing, loans, or credit of any kind.
• Not a party to transactions: Machine City is not a buyer, seller, agent, or party to any transaction between users. All negotiations, price agreements, payments, delivery arrangements, and title transfer happen directly between the buyer and seller, typically via WhatsApp, phone, or in-person — entirely outside the Platform.

4. No Warranty on Listings

Machine details, specifications, condition descriptions, year of manufacture, and images appearing on the Platform are provided for general information purposes only and are based on information available to us at the time of listing. They may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.

Machine City makes no representation or warranty — express or implied — regarding the accuracy, completeness, availability, fitness for purpose, or current condition of any listed machine. Specifications and availability are subject to change without notice.

Buyers are solely responsible for independently verifying the condition, specifications, legal title, and suitability of any machine before purchase. We strongly recommend a physical inspection by a qualified engineer prior to any commitment.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Anirudh Engineering Solutions and Machine City shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or expense arising out of or in connection with:

• Any transaction, negotiation, or dealing between a buyer and a seller
• Any misrepresentation by a buyer or seller regarding a machine
• Any defect, deficiency, non-performance, or failure of a machine after purchase
• Disputes between buyers and sellers
• Inaccurate listing information
• Loss of business, profit, or opportunity resulting from use of or reliance on the Platform
• Interruption, unavailability, or errors on the Platform

Your use of the Platform and reliance on any listing information is at your own risk. Machine City’s role is limited to providing the introduction platform.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.

6. User Conduct

By using the Platform, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information in all forms and submissions
• Not submit false, misleading, or duplicate machine listings
• Not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Platform’s operation
• Not use the Platform to harass, spam, or deceive other users

We reserve the right to remove listings, block access, or take other appropriate action if we believe these Terms have been violated.

7. Intellectual Property

The Machine City brand, logo, website design, and all original content (including text, layout, and graphics) are the property of Anirudh Engineering Solutions. Listings published by us based on machine information we hold are also our property.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written permission. You may share individual listing pages via link for personal or business reference.

By submitting content to the Platform (such as machine photos or descriptions when listing a machine for sale), you grant Anirudh Engineering Solutions a non-exclusive licence to use, display, and publish that content on the Platform for the purpose of facilitating the sale.

8. Third-Party Links & Communication Channels

The Platform contains links to WhatsApp and may direct you to communicate via WhatsApp, phone, or email. These are third-party services or channels not operated by Machine City. We are not responsible for the availability, content, privacy practices, or reliability of any third-party services.

Any communication that occurs between you and a counterparty (buyer or seller) via WhatsApp, phone, email, or any other channel outside the Platform is solely between those parties. Machine City is not a party to such communications.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mohali (SAS Nagar), Punjab, India.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Platform, or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

Continued use of the Platform after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
