Verify the accessory is compatible with your specific machine before purchase: transformer input/output voltage, chuck spindle nose standard, 4th axis servo interface type. A mismatch is rarely discovered until after installation — confirm compatibility first.
For transformers and compressors, an insulation resistance (Megger) test of primary, secondary, and core should show over 100 MΩ. Low insulation indicates deteriorated winding — a fire and shock risk. Have a qualified electrician perform this check before installation.
Run each accessory under simulated working conditions: a compressor under backpressure, a hoist with a representative test load, a transformer with the connected machine drawing current. Idle testing alone misses drive, pump, and bearing faults that only appear under load.
4th axis units, DNC systems, and chip conveyors all require specific electrical or mechanical interfaces. Confirm that cables, connectors, and mounting hardware are included in the purchase. Missing interface components add procurement time and cost after the fact.
