Browse used 4th axis rotary tables — direct drive & worm drive, through bore, hydraulic/pneumatic clamping, various table diameters. Pan-India.
A 4th Axis rotary table (also called a rotary table or indexer) is a precision CNC-controlled rotary device mounted on the VMC or machining center table to add a fourth axis of movement (typically the A or B axis). With a 4th axis, the operator can rotate the workpiece to any angle under program control, enabling compound-angle features, multi-face machining without re-clamping, helical interpolation, and 4-axis simultaneous contouring. This transforms a 3-axis VMC into a 4-axis machine for dramatically expanded part capability.
The key specifications on a 4th axis rotary table are rotary table diameter (which limits the workpiece diameter that can be mounted), clamping torque (which determines how much cutting force the clamped table can withstand without deflecting), rotary axis speed (rpm for positioning and contouring), and through-bore (a central bore through the table and spindle, allowing bar stock or coolant to pass through from the back). Drive type matters: direct-drive tables are more accurate and faster but more expensive; worm-drive tables are more common and provide high clamping torque, though with limited maximum speed.
Machine City stocks used 4th axis units from Kitagawa (Japan), SMW Autoblok, Lehmann (Germany), and various Taiwanese manufacturers, covering table diameters from 100 mm to 400 mm for typical VMC applications.

Buyer’s Guide
Confirm the table diameter accommodates your workpiece with appropriate clamping fixturing. Remember that fixtures add OD and height — verify the workpiece fits within the VMC's Y travel when mounted.
Verify the clamping torque (Nm) is sufficient for your cutting forces. Heavy side milling on a 4th axis with insufficient clamp torque will cause rotational slip mid-program. Hydraulic clamping provides higher consistent torque than pneumatic.
Use a precision test bar and dial indicator to measure angular backlash at multiple positions. Any backlash above 5–10 arcseconds will appear as a positional step when reversing direction in a contour program.
If a through bore is present, verify it is clear and undamaged. Check the bore diameter matches your planned bar or coolant fitting.
Confirm the electrical interface cable and connector type match your VMC's 4th axis port (typically a Fanuc or Mitsubishi servo bus connector). A mismatched connector requires adapter wiring.
